This eSIM is a Data-ONLY sim hence it doesn't come with a phone number. The sim does not allow you to make direct calls or send direct SMS. However, you are still able to make calls and send messages via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc.
However, you are also able to add credit to your Viber or Skype account, which will allow you to make local and international phone calls directly to landlines and mobiles.
Yes, you are able to hotspot/tether from your phone to another phone or device.
The mobile data APN settings should automatically update when you insert the sim in you phone. If it does not, you need to update the settings so it states the following;

Details about APN settings and other important information will be noted on the instruction sheet that will come accompanied with the eSIM.
If you are travelling for longer than 31 days, please purchase multiple sSIMs accordingly. For example, if you are travelling for 50 days then purchase 2 of these sims and swap them over at the end of the 31 day period.

You can stay in touch with your family and friends by sending them messages and calling them via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc.

To check your data balance/allowance you simply need to dial *111*6# then press Call (star, one, one, one, star, six, hash then press Call).
If you receive any text messages noting that you have zero credit balance then you can ignore as it does not relate to your data balance.
You simply need to have both MOBILE DATA and DATA ROAMING functions ENABLED/TURNED ON in your device to use the service. This eSIM activates as soon as you scan the QR code provided. It is on this date that your 31days of service will commence.
The features on the eSIM are valid for 31days of service from activation.
As this eSIM cannot be recharged, if you feel you need more than 20GB of data then please purchase multiple eSIMs accordingly.
