I’ve been buying from SIMCorner

I’ve been buying from SIMCorner for years - and for the first time have had a problem. It wasn’t SC’s fault - it was AusiePost who have a knack of losing the unlosable. But sure enough, SimCorner came to the rescue - with a replacement SIM that came on time and with little fuss. Thank you.

Couldn't have travelled without it!

From ordering to activating, this was a breeze. We activated a day ahead of departure so we could obtain the US phone number and share with family. Using it in US was simple and without it we’d have been lost as we needed Google maps for driving and finding food & bev etc. Value for the month was extraordinary - even though we went for the slightly more expensive one which allowed us to hotspot off it which is also very useful. will certainly use these guys again when travelling for longer periods.

Easy Peasy

Very easy to order and very easy to set up once I arrived in Vancouver. One bit of a advice is don’t panic if when you switch in the phone you so no service as it does take a few minutes for the sync/set ip to do its thing. This is easily my 4th or 5th purchase and I keep coming back.

SimCorner delivers to many countries across the world and has dispatch locations in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United Kingdom. Receive your SIM in the mail prior to departing for your trip. Insert your SIM card in your phone as soon as you land and stay connected.

What do I need to do before I depart?

Make sure that your phone is unlocked before you depart for your trip.

Please note: Being on a post-paid plan or contract with your local carrier doesn't mean your phone is locked. If you are unsure, please check with your current service provider.

How do I activate this sim card?

This AT&T Prepaid sim card will be active from the activation date you provided at the time of purchase and will be when your 30 days begins. This is the date that you can start using your services when you're at the covered destination.

The activation date is based on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and will occur between 12-3am. Should you wish to change this date after your purchase, please contact us at least 3 days prior to your noted activation date, so we can change the commencement date of your 30 day service. You can email us at support@simcorner.com to do this. However, we cannot change the actual time of when the activation occurs, only the date.

You will need to turn ON the DATA ROAMING function in your mobile phone before you can use the data in Canada and/or Mexico.

What will my phone number be?

Your local USA phone number is only generated once the sim card is activated (based on the activation date that you note at the time of purchase). You 30 days of service will commence from this date. Upon arriving in either the USA, Canada or Mexico and after inserting the sim card in your mobile phone, you can go into your phone settings menu to view your USA phone number.

Can I get my phone number earlier?

When a sim is activated we are able to retrieve the phone number from the system. As an option, if you are travelling for less than 30 days you can look at providing an earlier activation date when purchasing the sim card, bearing in mind that your 30 days of service will still begin from that date. You can then e-mail us on the activation date you provided requesting your phone number which we can then forward to you.

How do I check my Data Balance/Allowances?

To check your data balance/allowance you simply need to dial *777# then press Call (star, seven, seven, seven, hash then press Call).

What size sim card will I receive?

You will receive a 3-in-1 sim card; which includes all sizes (Standard, Micro and Nano). This sim card will fit in any phone. You simply need to just pop out the sim card size that fits your phone.

Can I hotspot/tether from your phone?

35GB Mobile Hotspot/Tethering (in USA ONLY) included

No hotspotting in Canada or Mexico.

Which country(ies) does this sim card work in?

Coverage: USA, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Alaska.

Please note when searching the coverage in Canada, only refer to the colour 'orange' on the Canada map. Where ever it's showing the color orange on the map in Canada, it means there is coverage there but the text that comes up will note 'No Coverage'. This is because the actual carrier of the sim AT&T doesn't have a their own network in Canada and that their network partner in Canada is Rogers so they can't provide specific details regarding a different companies network. The colour 'orange' is shown in the legend/key of the map as "off-network" coverage, meaning it's not their own coverage/network but it's on another network. This does not apply for USA and Mexico since AT&T have their own networks in those two countries so searching coverage for cities and towns in USA and Mexico will be more clear.

What settings do I need to change/update to use this sim card?

You simply need to have both MOBILE DATA and DATA ROAMING functions ENABLED/TURNED ON in your phone to use the service. The sim card will be active from the activation date you have provided. It is on this date that your 30 days of service will automatically commence.

What is the data APN settings for this sim card?

The mobile data APN settings should automatically update when you insert the sim card in you phone. If it does not, you need to update the settings so it states the following;

APN Name: ATT phone

APN: phone None of the other mobile data APN fields, need to be changed or adjusted, only the above.

Details about APN settings and other important information will be noted on the instruction sheet that will come accompanied with the sim card.

Which carrier(s) does this sim card connect to?

The sim card will connect to the ATT network in USA (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Mexico. Whilst in Canada, the sim card will connect to Rogers.

How many days is this sim card valid for?

The features on the sim card are valid for 30 days of service from activation.

What happens if I am travelling for longer than 30 Days?

The plan will last 30 days from the activation date provided. If you are staying longer than 30 days and wish to recharge the sim you can do this by either going into an AT&T store or calling AT&T customer service on 611 from your mobile handset. To recharge this same plan for another 30 days in the US with AT&T, will cost $75USD + Tax. If you don't need the same plan for the following month or only need a few more days of service, then just let AT&T know and they will provide you some prepaid plan options to change to.

Alternatively, you can look to purchase multiple sims to cover your duration if travelling for more than 30 days. For example, if you are travelling for 56 days and are departing on the 1st of September, then you should select '2' for the quantity (qty) and add them to the cart. Then in the cart page enter the activation date for the first sim as 1st September and then press the "+" to enter the activation date for second sim as 30th September (you can select whatever activation date you like or even have them overlap, just keep in mind that your 30 days will begin from that date). You can then use the two sims for 30 days from the dates you have provided.  (Please note: each sim card will have a different phone number). As long as you are aware your 30 days will begin from the activation date you provide for each sim, it's up to you what date you provide ensuring it covers you for your duration. It's fine to have services overlap.
