As this prepaid Japan SIM cannot be recharged, if you feel you need more Data then please purchase multiple sims accordingly. Baring in mind that each time you activate one sim you will have 33 days to use the data.
You will receive a 3-in-1 sim card; which includes all sizes (Standard, Micro and Nano). This sim card will fit in any phone. You simply need to just pop out the sim card size that fits your phone.
To activate, simply insert the travel sim into your device and update the APN settings when you land in Japan. The travel sim will automatically connect to the Docomo network which will commence your 33 days of service.
The sim pack will come with the instructions on what the APN Settings are and how to update them for both Android and iOS phones. Once in Japan and you have updated your APN settings the sim will automatically activate which is when your 33 days begins.
Please note, you will need to have MOBILE DATA functions ENABLED/TURNED ON in your device to use the service.

Yes, you will have access to all your apps, messages, contacts and emails whilst using this Japan SIM card. Nothing on your phone is deleted or changed and you can continue to use your phone as per normal. The only change with using this SIM is that you will have a new phone number.

Had some initial problems getting the Sim activated via the QR code but this was quickly resolved following an email to customer support. (Would be better to include manual instructions on setup in the pack) Worked perfectly throughout Japan and would use again in future.
I bought an unlimited data sim for my trip to Japan (4wks). I was so glad I had unlimited data as I didn’t have to worry about running out of data during my trip. There was no daily limit either. I think my most used apps were Translate & Google Maps, plus backing up photos to the cloud & using Hotspot on my phone to my iPad when I needed data for that.
