The eSIM is a virtual sim that is bulit into a phone's hardware, and as such there is no physical sim card. Please check the compatibilty section to ensure your specific phone model is compatible, as not all phones are eSIM compatible. You then simply need to follow the instruction we provide at the time of purchase to activate the sim.

Only unlocked devices with eSIM or SIM Card and eSIM are compatible. To confirm, if your device has an "EID" number it supports eSIM functionality. Certain phone models may not have eSIM capabilities. For example, some iPhone models purchased from China, HK, Macau or Samsung, Motorola models from specific regions may not support eSIM.

When you land at your destination, simply open the email we have sent you and install the eSIM we have sent you (detailed step by step instructions with screenshot will be provided). Then dial 777 and press call. When you call 777 you will hear an automated voice message confirming the activation of your sim. Sim will self activate within a few seconds. It is at this point that your 60 days of service will commence.

Please note, you will need to have MOBILE DATA functions ENABLED/TURNED ON in your device to use the service.

Your NZ phone number can be found by going into your phone settings menu to view your NZ phone number.

  • Order your travel eSIM online and let us know your travel date. The eSIM will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
  • When you land at your travel destination, follow the steps noted in the email and your eSIM will be ready to use.

Make sure that your device is eSIM compatibility. See our full list of compatible devices. Ensure that you have access to the eSIM email we have provided. You may wish to print this email out so you have a hard-copy of the eSIM. Please note that your 15 days of service will commence as soon as you scan the QR code for eSIM.

Dial 777 then press Call and follow the prompt to hear your outstanding balance/allowance.

Alternatively, you can download the My One NZ app which will detail your balance/allowance.

Yes, you are able to hotspot/tether from your phone to another phone or device.

New Zealand

You do not need to change/update any settings in your phone. You simply just need to insert the sim in your phone and dial 777, the voice prompts will then confirm that you sim is activated and ready to use.

The mobile data APN settings should automatically update when you insert the sim in you phone. If it does not, you need to update the settings so it states the following;

APN Name: vodafone

APN: vodafone

Details about APN settings and other important information will be noted on the instruction sheet that will come accompanied with the sim card.

The features on the sim are valid for 60 days of service from activation. 

If you are travelling for longer than 60 days, please purchase multiple esims accordingly. For example, if you are travelling for 80 days then purchase 2 of these esims and swap them over at the end of the 60 day period. (Please note: each sim card will have a different phone number).

Should you run into any issues with the sim card whilst overseas then we encourage you to email us immediately at support@simcorner.com and let us know the following information;

  • Your order number or the name that the order is under along with the sim card number.
  • Which country you are in currently and whether the sim card connects to any network, if so, which network?
  • Did you receive any SMS after you inserted the sim card? If so, please send us a screenshot of that message.
  • Message us screenshots of any error message you are getting.
  • What phone model you are using?
  • Any other information about the issue, which will assist us in helping you resolve the issue.

Within NZ

You simply just need to dial the NZ phone number you want to call.

Overseas

This NZ sim card includes 200 standard minutes and SMS to Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, UK and USA. If you wish to call an international phone number you need to include the country's calling.

For example if you are calling a phone number in Australia, you need to dial +61 prior to the phone number. So if the phone number is 0431 123 456 then you would need to dial +61 431 123 456

If you are wanting to call a country outside of the countries noted above, then you should use you can stay in touch with your family and friends by sending them messages and calling them via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc.

Within NZ

If someone from within NZ wishes to call you from their NZ phone number they would just need to call you on the phone number that is provided on the back of the sim card packaging.

Overseas

If someone from outside of NZ wishes to call they would need to drop the leading 0 and add the NZ calling code of +64

For example, if the phone number noted on the pack is 021 2315130, then they would need to dial +64 21 2315130.

Social App

You can stay in touch with your family and friends by sending them messages and calling them via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype, iMessage etc.

Yes you are able to call and text your partner if you both purchase a NZ sim.

If your friends and family have have purchase the same New Zealand sim card then you will be able to call them and text them directly. However, if your friends and family are using their roaming services from back home, you will be able to text them but not call. You would need to call them via data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, Messenger, etc .

Yes, you will have access to all your apps, messages, contacts and emails whilst using this NZ sim card. Nothing on your phone is deleted or changed and you can continue to use your phone as per normal. The only change with using this NZ sim card is that you will have a new New Zealand phone number.
